Production Supervisors Rotating 1st/2nd/3rd shift Food manufacturing
Our client a worldwide food/consumable goods manufacturer had a recent retirement and promotion at their plant located in Nashville ,TN area, creating need to add a top notch Production Supervisor to manage production areas of 20-30 nonunion operators on a rotating 1st/ 2nd /3rd shift schedule
This is an entry level Operations Manager position which supervises a single line or single production area on rotating shifts of operation. This supervisor will coordinate the short term activities of this area within established guidelines and standards to produce the highest quality, lowest cost product in the safest and most efficient manner. He/she will facilitate teams in his/her area of responsibility and conduct or coordinate the necessary training for both the individual associates and the team.
Continuous improvement is a key aspect of this role. It will be accomplished through developing and maintaining an organization that demonstrates improvement by continuously driving faults lower utilizing lean manufacturing initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelors degree must have
5+ years supervisory role in food production
Demonstrated experience working in Quality/Safety
GMP/USDA/FDA
Project Management and strong computer skills
Ability to work any shift as needed
Ability to tolerate an ambiguous environment.
